Daily Update

Former State Senator and Chairman of the NYS Conservative Party, Serphin R. Maltese, himself a Veteran of the Korean War, sent this note out to his many friends over the weekend and we wanted to take this opportunity to share it with you our readers.

On July 27th, 1953, the Armistice ending 3 years of war in Korea was signed in P’anmunjom, in Korea. Now on the 65th Anniversary of that date, 55 Coffins of our Heroic American Warriors are being returned Home.  I was then a Corporal serving in the 45th Infantry Division at nearby ChunChon, Korea. We All celebrated “The End Of the War”. Little did we know that it would take more than 65 years to see the Return Home of the Bodies of our Missing in Action Heroes. There are 7,704 (MIA) Missing in Action U.S. Service Members still not Home. More than 140,000 Korean War Casualties in all with 102,000 (WIA) Wounded and 33,652 (KIA) Killed In Action.  After decades of ongoing talks, as Veterans and Americans, we gratefully Thank our President Donald J. Trump for his successful Humanitarian negotiations to repatriate the Bodies of our Buddies who never came Home to their Families.  We Thank God for Their return and look forward to their speedy Identification and return, so that All Their Missing Comrades In Arms will also come Home At Long Last.

Weekly Wrap-Up

The U.S. economy is great again – just look at the terrific growth we’re seeing thanks to President Trump’s conservative reforms.

This is, of course, bad news for Chuck Schumer and the Democrats, who are out of ideas but still determined to drag the country down

Do you think the economy will continue to surge under President Trump – or are you concerned about the left’s destructive agenda? That’s the first question in our new Weekly Poll.

Good news for President Trump is bad news for the media, too – yet another reminder of just how out of touch the biased media has become. The media elites are obsessed with Russia and climate change, while Americans have other priorities.

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing our country right now? That’s the second question in our new Weekly Poll, and there are plenty of issues to choose from

This week we marked 230 years of statehood for New York – but are we still the Empire State

We’re facing plenty of challenges of our own – from a crushing tax burden and overspending to corrupt and arrogant politicians.

What would you say is the biggest challenge facing New York right now? That’s the third and final question in our new Weekly Poll.

And that’s a wrap for this week – have a great weekend!

Daily Update

Cuomo says ‘ask MTA’ about blue lane dividers he ordered.  It is apparent, if the Governor does not like the question posed by reporters, he does not answer it directly. Here is a piece of advice Governor, people will respect you more if you own up to your vanity lapses.

Of course, knowing of your vanity lapses, and the burdensome, unnecessary costs involved, people who are going to be asked to pay  a scheduled 4% increase, will continue to find other ways of navigating the city.

I’ve been told there is no place for me in New York State, that I am deplorable, and now I am “complicit in evil.”  Fortunately, all the name calling, just makes me stronger.  But, I have to admit, I wonder why are all these people who call conservatives names are the same people who decry bullying?

Daily Update

Our prayers are with Guy V. Molinari’s family and the citizens of Staten Island – the people Guy V. Molinari championed throughout his storied career as an Assemblyman, Congressman and Borough President.   Rest in Peace, Guy.  Job well done.

Yesterday we wrote about Gov. Cuomo’s need for the MTA to have New York’s colors in their newly refurbished tunnels, today we learn that Governor Cuomo also needed to have the tunnel’s pylons in  New York’s colors, despite the fact it may violate federal standards.  Earlier this year we learned about  the “I love NY” highway signs that cost $8.1 million, (that must be removed to avoid a $14M fine) now we learn of the “Tunnel Colors.”  A few minutes of research, on either proposal, would have saved the taxpayers of New York millions – or at the very least would have had millions for much needed repairs to the subways, bridges, and roadways.

Alas, Governor Cuomo, refuses to learn that government should not be in the business of picking winners in a free enterprise market.  Cuomo seems ready to double down on another white elephant

Daily Update

Governor Andrew Cuomo’s spending spree is spelled out in Seth Barron’s Saturday column in the New York Post.  Send his column to everyone you know so they are completely aware of the wasteful spending by Governor Cuomo.  You can add this one also, Cuomo had the MTA waste $30M on tunnel vanity project.  Governor Cuomo spends your money to feed his ego – not what is necessary to make our subways safer, our bridges and streets safer to drive on or teachers having the necessary equipment to give our children a solid background to succeed in the real world.

Inside Cuomo’s plan to have your face scanned at NYC toll plazas.   Yes, you read that right.  As you drive your car through certain – eventually all – of New York’s toll plaza’s, “the city is scanning drivers’ visages and feeding them into databases to catch suspected criminals, Gov. Andrew Cuomo revealed Friday.”   Big Brother is firmly in charge in New York State; the question is will we really be safer – will criminals be caught, terrorists on watch lists be tracked prior to harming citizens, or is government just collecting data on ordinary citizens?

Governor, how many more hardened criminals are you going to let outEven a serial child-killer will soon go free, thanks to Cuomo’s parole board.

Weekly Wrap-Up

Math standards are being lowered by New York universities, and the Cuomo campaign is leading the way by manipulating their donation numbers with tiny contributions that make it look like average New Yorkers, not big money special interests, are supporting his reelection.

Corruption, thy name is Cuomo!

Convictions this week for Cuomo’s cronies have turned up the heat on the Governor – and all this corruption has a direct impact on you and me and all New Yorkers.

(All these Cuomo scandals prove yet again what you and I know for a fact: There’s a double-standard for liberals and conservatives. The media’s “guilty until proven innocent” approach to Republicans has been on full display this week.)

Now it’s wait-and-see whether Joe Percoco’s punishment will fit the crime, or if he’ll get the slap on the wrist that Team Cuomo wants for him.

In your opinion how corrupt is Andrew Cuomo? That’s the first question in our new Weekly Poll.

Meanwhile Marc Molinaro is on the campaign trail talking about real reforms that will clean up Albany

Andrew Cuomo symbolizes not just liberal corruption, but also extremism – he is Exhibit A in the Democrats’ lurch to the left. Their new “dream ticket” tells us everything we need to know about the party’s socialist leanings – perfect for today’s “know nothing” left (but not so perfect for those who value the truth, which brings us back to Andrew Cuomo and his “Chicken Little” routine on abortion).

What do you find most alarming about the Democrats’ lurch to the left? That’s the second question in our new Weekly Poll.

In a week of political hysteria on the left, the Democrats have concocted yet another new campaign slogan: “For the People,” which itself is hysterical (and as Barack Obama shows us, hypocritical too).

What do you think would make a BETTER slogan for the Democrats? That’s the third and final question in our new Weekly Poll – I had some fun with it, and I hope you will too.

I also hope you have a great weekend!

Dem Governor Facing Tough Re-Election Accused of Padding Local Donation Numbers to Appear Grassroots.  Governor Cuomo, do you really think you need to pretend you have grassroots support.  Hmmm, you pretend so much on so many items, I guess this just came naturally to you.  Your real supporters skirt the limits.

When his close colleagues break the law, he pretends he, like Hogan Hero’s Sargent Schultz, knows nothing.

Four Blue States Protest Tax Reform with a Frivolous Lawsuit.  Of course, Governor Cuomo is part of this frivolous lawsuit…pretending that he can win it.  One would think that as a lawyer himself, he would not want to waste the Court’s time with frivolous lawsuits.  Here is Guy Benson’s take on the lawsuit.

While issuing advice to state employees, Governor Cuomo, pretending again, that he understands the Janus vs AFSCME Supreme Court decision, gives state employees bad advice.  If his law degree was dependent on an essay regarding the Janus decision, he would not pass the Bar exam.

Governor Cuomo is so consumed with winning a third term – and a probable presidential run – that he is throwing caution to the wind and doing and saying anything and everything that he thinks will propel him into his third term.

Daily Update

Governor Andrew Cuomo’s hiring spree of “special assistants” cost taxpayer’s $33.8 million during fiscal 2016-2017, the latest year for which information is available. Does one person really need 347 special assistants?  Maybe they were hired to do this.   Oh, the article says his campaign obtained the names of students who scored one of the state’s new Excelsior Scholarships and solicited them to appear in an ad promoting Cuomo’s re-election.  I guess they were not aware of this:  Federal law requires government and universities to protect students’ personal information and records.  Leave it to the Governor to ignore the laws he doesn’t support and do what he pleases.

Daily Update

Governor Cuomo depends on people not paying attention to anything other than what he states as fact…facts that omit important information and are actually very misleading.  Another misleading explanation of wasting our hard earned money extracted from our wallets.  Here is another example of Governor Cuomo’s wasteful ways:  Upstate homeowners and businesses are going to have to pay about $4 billion to build his magical wind turbines off Long Island and NYC. There is no benefit, no flip side. It’s the most expensive type of renewable energy available.

It’s long past time for Cuomo to stop wasting taxpayer money.

Wasting our money is unconscionable, and so is this:  Cuomo’s claim he didn’t spot corruption all around him is beyond pathetic.

Thanks to NYSCOBA for reminding New Yorkers how Gov. Cuomo is impacting our safety.  More on the  Corrections officers targeting Cuomo in new ad blitz here.  Typical of the campaign office, it slams NYSCOBA for running the ads because “(NYSCOBA) is trying to negotiate its contract and deflect from the fact that it wants to protect those individuals who rape and assault prisoners.” Seriously, must the campaign spokespersons always respond with a scorched earth retort.

Governor Andrew Cuomo’s dark side was very apparent in this article over the weekend, can you imagine being treated as an unknown after being praised as New York’s secret weapon.  The NY Post editorial says “Add another case to Andrew Cuomo’s cloud of corruption” in one of its lead editorials, followed up with “Andrew Cuomo’s ‘Squirrel!’ strategy for dodging the corruption news.”

E. J. McMahon writes that Cuomo’s Buffalo Billion was beyond corrupt

Then there is this article in today’s NY Post:  Cuomo’s $10B economy ‘boost’ results in broken promises.

And then there is this:  State resources went to Cuomo campaign effort, records show, published in the Albany Times Union, certainly not known as a right-leaning newspaper.  How much longer can Governor Andrew Cuomo continue before there is an indictment of him?

Isn’t eight years enough?

Marc Molinaro has a plan, the 2019 Albany Accountability Act’ that the NY Post calls “Molinaro’s long-needed reforms to clean up Albany”.  Fortunately, for all New Yorkers, the NY Post exposes the news – unlike some many newspapers nowadays that have a political agenda and only print what they want you to see.  Read Marc’s plan; email his ideas to your family and friends, volunteer to help any way you can.

This is our state; the wasted money was our money.  It will continue, but, only if you let it

Last year, residents in New York City had a chance to elect a new mayor, but, the majority did not even bother to vote.  The problems continue in the NYC Subway System and Mayor de Blasio is oblivious to the problems of the residents of the NYC Housing Authority.  The residents of NYC had an opportunity to make the changes necessary, yet they chose not to and today they face a monstrous disaster that may very well be beyond fixing

Do not let this happen to the rest of the state; New York deserves better.  Do your part, NOW, while we still can. It is not a lack of funds, it is a lack of management and more importantly, it is a laissez-faire attitude while the two CEO’s strive for higher office.

7 Takeaways From FBI Agent Strzok’s Testimony Before 2 House Committees

Weekly Wrap-Up

“Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh Piled Up Credit Card Debt by Purchasing Nationals Tickets” – that is about the most scandalous behavior liberals can come up with so far in their personal attacks on President Trump’s pick for the high court.

President Trump made his announcement Monday night. He’s described as a “bold, brilliant” jurist,” but of course the liberals immediately fell into hysterics (and many didn’t even wait for the announcement).

As Investor’s Business Daily notes, “No one argues he isn’t qualified. They just don’t like his decisions. Or really, any conservative’s decisions, whatever they are.”

President Trump stated in his announcement that his choice for the Supreme Court has “impeccable credentials and unsurpassed qualifications.” What do you feel is Kavanaugh’s most important qualification? That’s the first question in our new Weekly Poll.

The confirmation spectacle now begins, and desperate Democrats might find it difficult to stop him.  In your opinion, how likely is it that Brett Kavanaugh will be confirmed by the US Senate? That’s the second Weekly Poll I have for you.

Meanwhile, President Trump continues to put America first on the world stage.

President Trump gets results. He doesn’t kowtow to the global elites. He says what he means and means what he says. I like it. What about you? What’s the BEST thing about President Trump’s leadership on the world stage? That’s the third and final question in our new Weekly Poll.

What’s the BEST thing about President Trump’s leadership on the world stage?

Let’s see, what else happened this week? The economy keeps humming, and liberal dogma continues to be disproven. It’s entirely possible that some Democrats don’t understand the courage and sacrifice of Purple Heart honorees, and it’s likely Cynthia Nixon doesn’t understand the ins-and-outs of socialism – but will non-citizen voters even care?

Have a great weekend!
