New York’s Emperor Strikes Again; 10 more states added to quarantine list.

New York is digging a financial hole that may take years to recover from.  NY suspends licenses of four bars, including one on LI, and adds 10 states to quarantine list, Cuomo says.  Governor Cuomo is seriously doing more harm to New York than anyone thought possible.  It is time that Governor pays attention to the science of the virus; he is overreacting to his initial deadly mistake of forcing nursing homes to admit/readmit COVID-19 positive patients.  What he is doing now does not mitigate his earlier judgement, in fact, it is obvious that New York’s death rate – what he fears most will inch up again – is due to his mishandling the COVID-19 crisis.  It is also a problem that most of the main stream media fails to recognize that fact.  For the governor to say follow the facts and science on a regular basis, he fails to follow his own advice; but that is nothing new to those of us who have followed his career.

Chicago says no to President Trump’s offer to help; Portland condemns federal troops being there, Cuomo sits in front of a photo in the daily news telling cops to do their jobs, yet all three cities have made it possible for lawlessness to survive.  Those of us who are still proud Americans want this to end.  President Trump, we have your back.  It is really a shame that progressive only have their lust for power driving them and they ignore, not they completely try to discredit what President Trump is doing for all Americans who want the opportunity to live the American Dream.

CONSERVATIVE PARTY URGES LEGISLATORS TO DO WHAT THEY ARE ELECTED TO DO

Brooklyn, NY – State Conservative Party Chairman, Gerard Kassar, speaking on behalf of his membership and the majority of New York’s citizens, is urging the members of the New York State Legislature to withdraw the emergency powers they voted to give Governor Andrew Cuomo, in a budget bill, at the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak.

“When the legislative members return this week, the first order of business should be to rescind the unilateral control — full authority over any state or local law – as long as it is related to the disease.   For example, just this past week, Governor Cuomo required restaurant patrons to order food if they want to buy alcohol, clearly overreaching the original intent.

“Businesses are doing their best to comply with the public health needs; however, the ever-changing requirements are making it incredibly difficult and extremely expensive to comply with the dictates of the Executive Order.

“The legislative members must take back their role as the representatives of their constituents and do what is best for them and the citizens of New York to get our economy back on track as well as the lives and mental well-being of the citizens of New York.  Should further action be required, it must take place in each legislative house, debated on the floor, passed by majority vote, and sent to the Governor for his signature,” said Chairman Kassar.  “That is how our representative democracy is required to work, all three branches of government working for the good of its citizens. “

Chairman Kassar’s weekly wrap-up discusses Mayor de Blasio, Joe Biden, and thanks Tom Basile for appearing on our bi-weekly Facebook presentation.

De Blasio Signs Police Reform Into Law

Anti NYPD and pro criminal Mayor Bill de Blasio signed a package of police reform bills into law earlier this week as violent crimes continue to skyrocket within his city.

The Mayor used the painting of a Black Lives Matter mural as the backdrop to his signing ceremony, pandering to radical far left voters whose only goal is to abolish the police force. Overnight Tuesday and into Wednesday, just hours before de Blasio further handcuffed the NYPD, at least 11 people were shot city wide.

Amongst the most controversial was the outlawing of chokeholds by the NYPD which Chief of Department Terrence Monahan labeled as “insane.”

New York State Troopers President Thomas Mungeer didn’t take too kindly to the Mayors decision to make the job of a police officer more dangerous and called for the immediate withdrawal of State troopers from New York City.

“This poorly conceived bill, which will be signed into law by Mayor de Blasio today, puts an undue burden upon our troopers; it opens them up to criminal and civil liability for restraining a person during a lawful arrest in a manner that is consistent with their training and is legal throughout the rest of the state,” Mungeer said.

While the Mayor kowtowed to the likes of Black Lives Matter and Antifa, I joined thousands of Church members, clergy, law enforcement, community activists and concerned citizens in a peaceful march from Brooklyn to City Hall in support of ending the violence and supporting law and order, and quality of life within New York City and throughout New York State.

Unfortunately, a truly peaceful gathering amongst a very diverse group of concerned New Yorker’s was violent; attacked by counter protestors who injured at least 4 police officers, including a blindsided attack on Chief Monahan.

As Congressman Lee Zeldin pointed out last week, the city is in dire need of real leadership and while Mayor de Blasio is out doing arts and crafts in the streets, law abiding residents are watching the destruction of New York City little by little, with no action from City Hall other than to villainize the men and women of the NYPD.

Joe Biden looking to Bernie Sanders for Advice on Raising Taxes

Joe Biden has made it very clear, the Trump tax cuts will be a thing of the past under his presidency, instead he will be looking to add more regulations, higher taxes and adopt the Green New Deal, all of which will cripple the strongest economy this country has ever seen.

“If you elect me, your taxes are going to be raised” Biden gleefully proclaimed at a rally in South Carolina. A repeal of the Trump Administrations Tax Cuts and Jobs Act will result in a $2,000 annual tax increase on a median income family of four, along with a $1,300 annual tax increase on a median income single parent with one child.

Even CNN’s Jake Tapper couldn’t buy the nonsense coming from Biden who claimed Americans weren’t benefiting from the tax cuts, stating “In fact, estimates from both sides of the political spectrum show that the majority of people in the United States of America did receive a tax cut.”

There are many reasons to be concerned with Joe Biden, whether it be his controversial voting record as a career politician, his physical health, or his silence on the devastating affects anti police rhetoric is having on inner city communities, one thing is for certain; our economy will suffer. There will be no rebound in a Biden White House.

President Trump built the strongest economy this country has ever seen, a global pandemic slowed and nearly crippled that work, but he has brought it back and will continue to bring it back even stronger.

AOC Gets Caught Gaslighting About New York’s Rising Violent Crime.   (I admit, I am a dinosaur when it comes to slang, so I had to ask Siri what does gaslighting mean.  According to Siri, gaslighting as a verb is a tactic in which a person or entity, in order to gain more power, makes a victim question their reality, in other words, they deny the other persons point of view and tries to make them think it is not true.)  How typical is that of AOC who believes she is smarter than anyone.  It really is so unbecoming of a member of Congress, and a huge disservice to her constituents who will ultimately be the ones hurt by AOC’s power grab.

Mr. Mayor: this is NOT leadership.

Neither is this, Mr. Mayor.  Really, the state courts should take responsibility?  You and your backers, the NYS Legislature under the “leadership” of Governor Andrew Cuomo opened this Pandora’s Box.  All of you demanded criminal justice reform…what on earth did you think would happen?  You are witnessing the results of your changes; all of you tied the hands of the state courts and now you have the audacity to blame them?  What planet are you from??  To say that you need the court system to run again…insinuating that because COVID-19 closed the system…is mind-boggling.  Even when the courts are back in business, their hands have been tied by the actions taken by those who support the deadly mistakes of the criminal justice reform supported by progressives.  Disgraceful remarks, disgraceful lack of leadership.

And as soon as we have the vaccine,  people will argue over getting the vaccine.  We will leave that argument to another day.   Today, however, the choice is ultimately yours to make…make it a smart choice.

Governor Cuomo, here is another organization calling for an independent investigation on the COVID-19 deaths on New York’s nursing homes.  Answers, Governor Cuomo, answers are needed, not a whitewashing  of deadly mistakes.  The Emperor definitely has no clothes on when it comes to this issue: Cuomo says his nursing home report ‘has the facts.’ Others worry it has a ‘preconceived conclusion’.  We will continue our demand for an independent investigation!

Brooklyn Conservatives, Republicans to Hold Joint Rally in Support of NYPD

This Saturday, July 11th, the Brooklyn Conservative Party and Brooklyn Republican Party will be holding a joint rally in support of the NYPD. We have seen similar rallies take place successfully all around the state, and this one will be no different as many seem eager to join. It is imperative we support our New York City Police Officers who are villainized every day by the Mayor and liberal City Council.

Last week, about 1,000 people gathered in Wantagh, Long Island, and Wednesday hundreds gathered outside of Staten Island’s 122 Precinct in solidarity with police.

Violent crimes have spiked dramatically throughout New York City this year. In the last 28 days alone, shooting victims are up 204% from this time last year. In that same time, murder victims are up 21.2%.

While these violent crimes continue to rise, the Mayor and City Council have responded by doing away with plain clothed anti-crime units and defunding the NYPD by $1 billion.

We hope you will be able to join us in Brooklyn at 11:00am this Saturday at the corner of 75th and 13th Ave.

Department of Health Investigates Themselves, Finds No Fault

It comes as no surprise that the New York State Department of Health found themselves blameless for the over 6,000 lives that were lost in New York nursing homes. Instead, they doubled down on defending their order, and unconscionably blamed nursing home staff for transmitting the virus to its residents.

New York Health Commissioner Howard Zucker said Monday that a memo issued by the agency on March 25 disallowing nursing homes from denying admission to residents based on a positive COVID-19 diagnosis was not to blame for the highest nursing home death toll in the country.

The Conservative Party has called for an independent investigation from day one, knowing New York State will do anything they can to cover their tracks. The facts are simple; thousands of New Yorker’s died in state nursing homes. Under no circumstance should infected patients have ever been admitted to these facilities and the state investigating themselves and finding no wrong doing is a slap in the face to all the families who lost a loved one.

I want to thank Congresswoman Elise Stefanik and all the elected officials who have stood up to the Governor and his attack dogs who have done nothing but bark nonsense in an effort to distract from the fact that his administration played a significant role in the deaths of countless New Yorkers.

We continue to call on U.S. Attorney General Barr to order an independent investigation.

Rep. Zeldin Calls on NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio to Resign Before It’s Too Late

With about 18 months remaining on his final term as New York City Mayor, Bill de Blasio has almost single handedly undone two decades worth of work that made New York City amongst the safest big cities in the country.

Crime has gone through the roof in 2020. Murder, shooting victims, shooting incidents, grand larceny and burglary are all up the last 28 days by at least 21.2%. Murder was up 50% last week alone compared to the same week in 2019. The recent spike correlated with the disbanding of the plain-clothes anti-crime NYPD unit which was responsible for many weapons and violent offender arrests.

Congressman Lee Zeldin has officially sounded the alarm nationally calling on the Mayor to be removed before New York City becomes unlivable.

“Homicides, shootings & other crimes continue spiking in NYC. Quality of life is taking a beating, cops are being thrown under the bus, & the radical left is in charge & destroying the city. DeBlasio must be removed immediately. The city won’t make it through the rest of his term” he said on twitter Wednesday.

The rise in crime is startling and I agree with the Congressman; New York City will be unrecognizable with 18 more months of Bill de Blasio.

Don’t judge a book by its cover, (nor a US Supreme Court decision) read it and see what you discover.

Today’s major news is from the US Supreme Court; two decisions directly effecting President Donald J. Trump.  The first one that came down allows Manhattan DA Vance’s grand jury subpoenas for documents from accounting firm Mazars USA and the Trump Organization as well as his tax returns,  to go forward and the second punted the Democratic Congressional request back to the lower courts because, as Justice Roberts noted, “The House’s approach would leave essentially no limits on the congressional power to subpoena the President’s personal records.”  Neither decision will have an immediate effect, much to the disdain of desperate democrats.  Of course, most of the media coverage will focus on these decisions being a big Trump loss, however, once people look behind the headlines, the decisions are not as damaging as the main stream media would have you think. One thing is certain, we have not heard the end of either court decision.   Our system of government has always believed that no one is above the law, that essentially is what was reaffirmed in the first decision and the second decision reaffirms that “fishing expeditions” by those in power should not be allowed.

Supreme Court rules in favor of Little Sisters of the Poor in ObamaCare contraception case. Governor Andrew Cuomo’s shameless pandering to those who seek to crown him an American icon.

We’re not the United States of Denial. We have never been a nation that has excelled because we refused to admit the problem,” he added.  This was said by Governor Andrew Cuomo yesterday and it is just one of the most outrageous things he has ever said.  Andrew Cuomo is in a constant state of denial, proven yet again with the release of the “investigation” into the deaths of over 6,000 Mom, Dads, Grandparents and siblings confined in nursing homes.  He has no shame at all.  He keeps silent on the surge of crime (as if the social justice reforms he demanded has nothing to do with the surge), he keeps silent on when or if schools will reopen in September, silent on how he intends to enforce quarantines from visitors from hotspots, yet, he does not keep silent on what a great job he thinks he is doing (of course, the media has practically anointed him a modern day god) and if anyone thinks this man is not running for president, they are living in La-La Land.  We ask again, how can the Commissioner who issued the March 25 mandate, investigate himself?  Denial!  No moral compass! Incapable of admitting they (Governor and Commissioner) made a mistake.  If Governor Cuomo and Commissioner Zucker believed they had not made a major error, why did they rescind the memo on May 10, 2020.  It is disgraceful that Commissioner Zucker – and Gov. Cuomo – have placed the blame on the men and women who, while underpaid, have devoted their lives to taking care of our elderly.  We will continue to fight for the truth and vow that it will never happen again under our watch.

The Big Test of Electoral College Is Yet to Come.   It never ceases to amaze me how some news organizations grab your attention.  For example:  Electoral College voters can be forced to back state popular vote winners, Supreme Court says.  Forced?  They made a pledge — that many people from both sides of the political world — would be proud to make.  How is that forced?

The good, the bad, and the ugly of the 4th of July long weekend.

We hope you all had a safe and happy 4th of July, certainly if you heard President Donald Trump at Mount Rushmore you were proud to be an American.  In case you missed it, you can watch it here.  Of course, if you only read the main stream media’s reporting on the speech, you would wonder if they were listening to the same speech.  The Wall Street Journal (subscription required) had this to say, “Contrary to the media reporting, the America Mr. Trump described is one of genuine racial equality and diversity. He highlighted the central ideal of the Declaration of Independence that “all men are created equal.” As he rightly put it, “these immortal words set in motion the unstoppable march of freedom” that included the abolition of slavery more than a half century later.  Rojer Kimball had this to say in American Greatness:  A Magnificent Speech

Unfortunately, far too many people have decided to ignore the history of America; the way we embrace differences and do our best to undo the faults of our beginnings.  Today, the calls to “cancel” ring loud and frenzied, without thought, without understanding the importance of knowing how far we have come.  In Rochester, NY, a local hero, Fredrick Douglass who gave one of the most important anti-slavery speeches prior to the civil war, had one of the statues the city built to honor his memory, destroyed.  Read more about what happened here.  We cannot let the forces determined to destroy the greatest nation ever created, the one nation that people still plea to become a citizen of, win by dividing America.

“Our valiant police officers have one of the most perilous, stressful duties around, and from what I have seen in my nearly dozen years here, they do it with care, compassion and competence,” said Timothy Cardinal Dolan over the weekend.  We couldn’t agree more.  Thank you, Cardinal Dolan, for speaking out on behalf of our police officers.

For those who thought that the US Supreme Court wouldn’t have a unanimous decision for a long time; today’s was.

It’s the GOP’s job now to be ready to step up when voters realize it’s time to change.  And the Conservative Party of NYS will be right there with them to fight the good fight.

Here are some things you might have missed over the long weekend:

Seriously, Governor?  This is what you must discuss at your briefings?  How can we possibly survive without your help?

Wow. Governor Cuomo can’t even post Happy 4th of July, Happy Independence Day America. Rather he says on America’s 244 Birthday: Happy Saturday us. This from the man who said, America was never that great. So disheartening, but not surprising.

Chairman Kassar’s Independence Day Message

Happy 4th of July

This weekend marks the 244th anniversary of the original patriots saying enough is enough, and declaring independence for the United States of America.

We are reminded daily that our freedoms and constitution are under attack, and now, on this Independence Day, it is more important than ever to remember how far we have come as a nation.

The United States of American has helped rid the world of tyranny and oppression, defended against terrorism, and provided its citizens with the most freedom in living our life experiences anywhere in the world.

As we take a long weekend to celebrate the 4th, I hope every person will take a moment to remember those who have fought to preserve our freedoms and paid the ultimate price.

We must come together to keep our country on the path of prosperity. Enjoy the blessings of freedom and Independence, but also do your part to preserve it for generations to come.

Happy 4th of July.
