Will Governor Cuomo’s new book contain this information?

The headline is an understatement:  If Cuomo won’t allow outside review of NY nursing home COVID-19 horror, he admits guilt.  “The people of New York deserve answers. If Cuomo and his allies don’t even allow this commission to look for them, it’s compelling proof of guilt.”  We continue to stand by our call that an Independent body to investigate the horror of so many deaths in New York state nursing homes.

CONSERVATIVE PARTY ENDORSES JACOBS;  UNITED FRONT FOR NOVEMBER

Brooklyn, NY — NYS Conservative Party Chairman Jerry Kassar has announced that the Executive Committee of the NYS Conservative Party has upon a recommendation from Western New York Party leaders endorsed Congressman Chris Jacobs for re-election to Congress. The vacancy occurred when Beth Parlato was nominated for the State Supreme Court.

Chairman Kassar called the endorsement, “a logical conclusion of a process that allowed voters to express their preference. Chris Jacobs won that contest and now he will go on to represent the people of the 27th Congressional District and New York State ably in Congress.  The NYS Conservative Party’s first and foremost priority is to elect qualified conservatives to Congress. Individuals who will vote to replace Nancy Pelosi with a new Speaker; one who will respect individual freedom, personal responsibility, and smaller government. I am confident Chris Jacobs is that person.”

Erie County Chairman Ralph Lorigo said, “The voters of the 27th Congressional District were given a choice this year to select their preferred representative. They did so and selected Chris Jacobs. As a party official, I have always believed, we are here to promote the will of voters. I have known Chris Jacobs for a number of years. He has always shown himself to be an advocate for his constituents. I am glad we will work together with our Republican allies to defeat Nate McMurray and provide President Trump a strong voice for conservative values!”

Livingston County Chairman Jason McGuire described “elections being about choices. The Conservative Party preferred a different candidate in this year’s congressional primary, but that candidate was not victorious. The choices before us now are Congressman Chris Jacobs or a far-left candidate. We choose Rep. Chris Jacobs.”

Congressman Jacobs in accepting the endorsement stated, ”America is facing a major decision in November and conservatives are stronger when we are united. I am proud to have the endorsement of the Conservative Party and I look forward to continuing to work in Congress to rebuild our economy, restore safety to our streets, and protect the rights and future of all Western New Yorkers.”

The Conservative Party in the 27th Congressional District received over 34,000 votes for Congress in the 2016 Presidential election year.

Governor Cuomo’s OUTRAGEOUS Omission in DNC Speech…

New York’s emperor believes he is godlike and tried very hard to convince those who watched the DNC convention that only he can lead the United States of America as president some day soon.  Those who have praised his handling of the COVID-19 crisis in New York State, either do not live here, never passed reading comprehension, or are smitten with the hogwash his press flacks distribute.  In case you missed his self-congratulatory presentation, you can watch it here. It is amazing how his outright lie says how the Trump Administration is responsible, while it was Governor Cuomo and his administration order patients with COVID-19 to return to nursing homes, knowing it would spread like fire through dry grass.  Andrew Cuomo is driven by power; he is driven by the fact that he must achieve more that his father who is still admired by many.  Andrew Cuomo and his lemmings will never come close to being a mini Mario; Mario was genuine, Andrew is deceptive.  Any doubts, read this: Gov. Brooklyn, NY — Today we learned that the 9/11 Memorial and Museum will not display the Tribute of Lights on the 19th Remembrance of America’s darkest day.

The two bright blue beams remind New Yorkers and the world that there is always hope that the future will bring peace through strength and vigilance.

Certainly the health of the individuals responsible for the display is important, however, in a city where millions of people have returned to work safely, adequate preparation could have and still can be made to protect the workers while respecting the 9/11 Memorial and Museum’s mission to commemorate the unbreakable spirit of New York and our strong belief that we shall never forget.

What do Emperor Cuomo and Hamlet’s Queen Gertrude have in common?

Why is Governor Cuomo so fearful of an independent investigation into his administration’s handling of the COVID-19 crisis when it comes to nursing homes?  Governor Cuomo actually said in the article that “Cuomo argued that a recent review by the state Department of Health found the cause of more than 6,000 nursing home deaths in New York since COVID-19 began was attributed to infections spread by staff members and not by residents who were, under his advisory order, returned to the facilities from hospitals while still infected but recovering. Cuomo said that report had been reviewed by “credible industry experts.”  Wow! Can you imagine what Cuomo’s reaction would be if the tables were turned and President Trump was defending his administration’s investigating itself?  The Emperor would be incensed; he would shout from his bully pulpit that a fox cannot guard the hen house.  Yet, here he is defending, deflecting and calling it political when it is apparent that a complete cover-up is being engineered by those who are responsible for allowing COVID-19 to spread like fire in dry grass.  There are no more public hearings on the matter; it is up to the public – you and I – to be certain that those responsible will be held accountable.  This is not about politics (The Nation is hardly a right-leaning publication).; this is about NEVER allowing an error in judgment that claimed lives, that failed to protect those most susceptible, and the ensuing denial that a grave error in judgment was made ever happen in the future.

Michael Gormley writes in Newsday that nursing homes defend NY virus response, but say changes needed.  When you read this article, it notes that “Nursing home operators said Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and the State Legislature had cut funding to nursing homes over the past two years, exacerbating staff shortages…”  could it be they (nursing home operators are fearful of more cuts since the NYS budget is facing a $30B deficit.) Government programs are meant to help those who are not able to help themselves, not those who choose not to help themselves.  Those in nursing homes are obviously not able to care for themselves placing the onus on government to do what is right and that includes not sending them back to nursing homes when they are COVID-19 positive.

Politics and the Pandemic through Governor Cuomo’s eyes…

Michael Gormley’s report on the joint hearings held by the legislature yesterday regarding the nursing home COVID-19 deaths is here.   Fox News’ meteorologist Janice Dean, who lost both her in-laws, responds to the hearing here.

The Emperor really has colossal chutzpah calling the president’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic “the worst government blunder in modern history.”  This from the Governor who ordered nursing homes to take COVID-19 patients, knowing that it posed a threat like “fire through dry grass.”  What astonishes me, is that Andrew Cuomo believes what he is saying and is completely oblivious to what his administration is responsible for.  The media have put him on a pedestal due to their own disdain for President Trump, thereby allowing Andrew Cuomo to continue the façade of his own responsibility.  Andrew Cuomo cannot deny that New York State’s death rate is 168 per 100,000, second only to Connecticut.  Governor Andrew Cuomo has nothing, absolutely nothing, to crow about or blame President Trump about when it comes to the handling of COVID-19 in New York State.  What is even more disturbing about the Emperor’s statement, is that it was made when the Joint Legislative Hearings were being conducted and his own political party was not throwing soft balls, yet, he still did his best to grab the headlines by making outrageous statements.  Unacceptable.  His actions show quite clearly that it is all about his political future (yet, he decries the politics of the pandemic and the press covers that) and not about the people he took an oath to protect.

No ID to vote; but, some of the same elected officials want biometrics to purchase tobacco/alcohol…

One really must try hard to understand the logic of the elected democrat officials in New York State.  Assemblywoman Latrice Walker, D-Brooklyn, recently introduced legislation that seeks to require biometrics, fingerprints and/or an eye scan and/or facial recognition, in order to verify one’s age for the purchase of alcohol or tobacco.  To elected democrats this appears to be important; however, when it comes to voting no proof of citizenship, age or residence is required.  Someone, please explain their logic, or better yet, explain how they get elected.

Logic fails me in this situation also; democrats demand the tax returns of Donald J. Trump and say that debates are not necessary?

The Wall Street Journal (subscription required) also points out the lack of logic most democrats seem to suffer from in this article:  Economists vs. Common Sense; If you pay people not to work, fewer will work. Except at Yale, it seems.  From the article:  “Senate Republicans have offered to extend the enhanced benefit by $200 weekly for two months, which would still allow many low-wage workers to make as much as they did working. Democrats are demanding that the extra $600, which expired on July 31, be extended into 2021. If you subsidize not working, you get less work.”  We all know the media extol Sen. Schumer and Speaker Pelosi for their ‘standing strong’ for the working man; but the media fails to acknowledge that that same working man is the person who pays the taxes that allows the government to pay the benefit, if they are not working (and paying the taxes) where is the money coming from?  Simple question; yet ignored by the main stream media.  If unemployment is as rampant as the press proclaims, where is the logic in Schumer, Pelosi, almost all democrats and their partners in the main stream media?  Government does not sell a product for people to invest in, they take their money from working men and women, or perhaps they believe there really is a golden goose, whose ending they have chosen to ignore.
