“Government’s view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it”-Ronald Reagan

Statement from New York State Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar
Brooklyn, NY – “The Democratic Party got caught today being undemocratic. Its attempt to rig elections and to shut down political dissent in New York through outrageous gerrymandering was fortunately thwarted in New York State Supreme Court.
“Just a glance at these lines revealed them as ridiculously tainted. Now the Democrats must go back to the drawing board and have new lines ready in less than two weeks. We applaud the court’s decision, and urge them to keep an eye on every pencil line the Democrats draw over the next 11 days. They are not to be trusted.”
Under Gov. Hochul’s “less is more” 8,000 people on parole to be released by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision by the end of this month.
As a New York taxpayer, do you think this $840M bill we have just been handed is a good use of our hard-earned tax dollars? I can’t help but wonder how many police, fire, first-responders could be hired, or a reasonable increase to those who care for our disabled and elderly this $840M could help? (And how much prevailing wages added to the total sum.) Buffalo Bills secure deal for $1.4B stadium thanks to record $850M from taxpayers
You really have no choice about paying NYS taxes, you either pay them or be fined and if you continue to ignore paying them you could be charged with felony tax evasion. We are at the mercy of our elected officials on how our money is spent, which is why it is so very important to know the candidates you are voting for. This is just one example of what your money can/will be used for: Hochul seeks to pay $5 million in legal fees for ex-Cuomo staffers. Remember this when you vote in November.
China Closer to Dominating Southeast Asia. “China has fully militarized at least three of several islands it built in the disputed South China Sea, arming them with anti-ship and anti-aircraft missile systems, laser and jamming equipment, and fighter jets in an increasingly aggressive move that threatens all nations operating nearby… that buildup of weaponization is destabilizing to the region.” — US Admiral John C. Aquilino, Associated Press, March 21, 2022.
The First Amendment reads: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. It does not indicate that the press can censor news to fit its agenda. This needs to be investigated; Americans must demand the truth as to how it impacted voters.
Bail debate scrambles New York state budget talks. “… top lawmakers in the state Senate and Assembly remain publicly opposed to scaling the bail law back. Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins has said a “national Republican campaign of fear” has stoked opposition to the bail law over the last several years, unfairly and inaccurately linking the law to the rise in crime.”
“Sure, there are plenty of budget priorities heading into the final two weeks of negotiations in Albany. But are any of them more personal for Gov. Kathy Hochul than getting a deal for a new stadium for her beloved Buffalo Bills?” Another Buffalo Billion — this time, for the Bills?
Diversity Smokescreen/The notion that a demographically representative college class makes for better education is a pretext for the real proposition: that certain people deserve reparations.
Andrew C. McCarthy notes that Ketanji Brown Jackson is a progressive and progressive judges tend to be light sentencers in his column: Ho-Hum: The Cases Senator Hawley Cites Show Judge Jackson Is an Unremarkable Sentencer in Child-Porn Cases. His column is also a good reminder that our Commander-in-Chief’s second most long-lasting and essential role is the nomination of Supreme Court Justices. Elections have consequences.
Miranda Divine writes in today’s NY Post: White House ignores its Hunter problem. “The refusal of the Times and the rest of the media to cover this story amounted to election interference.”
The New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms, has in the past held a Legislative Day in Albany, NY, but due to COVID restrictions have been able to do so. In this modern age of technology, the New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms adapted to being prevented from “walking the halls” to getting their message out in a new way and we are the beneficiaries. Click here to watch the New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms held their Legislative Day 2022: A Digital Day of Action.
At the very least, Governor Hochul is listening to the concerns of New Yorkers. We haven’t seen the proposals, nor are we confident that the democrats in the legislature, will adopt any portion of what must be done, since they were passed in both houses that are controlled by democrats and they since doing so have dug themselves in on “no changes,” but it is a beginning of a conversation that is truly needed. Let’s hope Gov. Hochul is doing this for all the right reasons and not just pandering to the people.
Christopher Rufo writes in City Journal about The War on Innocence/A Kentucky summer camp teaches “sex liberation,” “BDSM,” and “self-pleasure” to minors. “Such a program would hardly cause a stir on the campuses of Oberlin or Barnard, but Sexy Sex Ed is hosting its programs in a deep-red state and recruiting children as young as 13 to discuss graphic sexual practices with the instructors and adult co-participants in their thirties and forties. The camp organizers have admitted that they target vulnerable youth, including foster children, who are at high risk of sexual abuse. (Emphasis added.)”
Democrats Urge Biden to Enact Agenda by Edict. Seriously? Why bother to have this separate branch of government if a president enacts his agenda by edict? It is mindboggling that some in Congress would even consider such a preposterous idea.
White House drafts TikTok stars to blame Putin for rising gas prices. Who is in control of making these White House decisions? TikTok is owned by Beijing-based technology company ByteDance, founded by the Chinese billionaire entrepreneur, Zhang Yiming. The 37-year-old was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2019, who described him as “the top entrepreneur in the world”. TikTok is a social media platform for creating, sharing and discovering short videos. The app is used by young people as an outlet to express themselves through singing, dancing, comedy, and lip-syncing, and allows users to create videos and share them across a community. Where are the adults in the White House?
From the Gatestone Institute: Why Did Vladimir Putin Invade Ukraine? If you only have time for one article today, make it this one. It is well worth reading; giving historical details that are important to understand as this crisis continues to dominate the news.
We strongly suggest that President Biden read this article, How liars create the ‘illusion of truth’, and if he cares one iota about America he will follow the advice written in the last paragraph: “But part of guarding against the illusion is the obligation it puts on us to stop repeating falsehoods. We live in a world where the facts matter, and should matter. If you repeat things without bothering to check if they are true, you are helping to make a world where lies and truth are easier to confuse. So, please, think before you repeat.”
President Biden’s determination, at this time, to prevent American’s from being energy independent is undermining every aspect of the one nation that has used its ingenuity to uplift the world; his stubbornness is blinded by his fear of the woke and the press.
Lawmakers feast on pork in omnibus. In 2011 a ban was established, then last year quietly came back and now that we are in an election year, earmarks are back; it seems as if they believe your vote is tied to how much of your tax dollars go to their pet projects that will most likely be named after them. Sen. Schumer’s name is attached to 59 earmarks totaling nearly $80 million, which one can be certain that he will travel all over the state this summer with those huge checks (and of course a press gaggle) to let you know how generous he is with YOUR money.
Yes, the two lawmakers apologized, as far as I am concerned, the apology rings extremely hollow. Did they not take the time to read what they are standing behind and holding? If not, why not? These are legislators who vote on bills the have an impact on the lives of everyday New Yorkers…have they approached that responsibility in the same way they chose to stand with this banner?
Katie Pavlich opines in Townhall.com: Biden Bans Russian Oil, Insists His Climate Agenda is the Way Forward. Part of what Biden said: “It’s simply not true that my administration or policies are holding back domestic energy production,” Biden said. “To protect our economy long term we must become energy independent…it should motivate us to accelerate a transition to clean energy.” OMG! Mr. President, we were energy independent prior to your election!. How is our purchasing oil from Iran and Venezuela – again giving our enemies our money for oil — going to make things better??? The only solution is to increase our production! More from Katie Pavlich here: Did You Catch the White House Explanation for Buying Oil From Hostile Countries?
