Federal support of the arts has resulted in tax dollars being spent on a host of anti-religious, anti-American, and pornographic exhibitions that the nation can do without. The Conservative Party believes that Washington should end its role in funding artistic projects. Such efforts should be left to the discretion of private citizens. We also believe that public funding of the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) should be ended. Along with believing that government should not be involved in domestic broadcasting projects, we feel that PBS has become the home for the Left wing values of a liberal elite. American taxpayers should not be subsidizing the prejudices of Bill Moyers or anyone else), the counter-culture of Gay Pride Week, and news summaries by the liberal National Public Radio (NPR). For every conservative voice on PBS and NPR there are scores of liberal/leftist guests. With hundreds of television channels broadcasting every minute of every day, Public broadcasting has outlived whatever reason it might have had for being in existence.
